KALAMAZOO, Mich. — While the two residents were not injured, a home on Elm St. suffered "major damage" early on Saturday.
Officers with the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety arrived on the scene to find the unoccupied two-story house actively on fire.
While the fire was located in the basement and quickly extinguished, the incident is still under investigation by the Fire Marshal.
