BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — Starting Tuesday, a section of sidewalk in downtown Battle Creek will close to pedestrians to allow for an art installation by Monument Park.

The sidewalk on the south side of Michigan Avenue will be closed from Division Street to Hamblin Avenue.

The closure will be in place from Tuesday, July 7 to Saturday, July 11, weather permitting.

The painted art will say #BlackLivesMatter and #StandInSolidarity.

Artists may work in the evening, after the hottest part of the day.

Pedestrians are advised to use the Hamblin/Michigan and Division/Michigan crosswalks to access the other side of the street.
