ALBION, Mich. — Renovations to Kellogg Community College’s campus in Albion are expected to be finished this spring.

The $1.75 million project is renovating the college’s Eastern Academic Center. KCC says the educational services and training opportunities will be significantly expanded with the upgrades.

Construction started in September 2019 and will be done in late spring.

Crews are creating a new welding and mechatronics lab, upgrading the mechanical and electrical systems and expanding the nursing assistant training lab. The CNA lab was finished in January.

About half of the funding for the project came from KCC’s millage fund and the rest was covered by grants.
