ALBION, Mich. — A two vehicle crash between a car and a tractor saw the driver of a car suffer minor injuries before being arrested on multiple charges.

On Tuesday, Deputies with the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office responded to a personal injury accident in the 24000 Blk of L Drive North.

The driver of the vehicle appears to have been speeding on L Drive North when he crested a hill and collided into the back of a farming combine that was traveling in the roadway.

The driver of the vehicle, a 35-year-old male from Nashville, Michigan, was treated for minor injuries at the scene and was then arrested and lodged at the Calhoun County Jail for Driving While License Suspended and suspicion of Operating Under the Influence of a Drug.

At this time, both speed and impairment appear to be factors in the accident.

The vehicle was also occupied by a 35-year-old female from Lansing and a 29-year-old female from Pennfield Township. Both were treated at the scene and then released.

The farmer driving the tractor was not injured.

Deputies were also assisted by Michigan State Police, Lee Township and Sheridan Township Fire Departments.
