BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — Officials say no injuries were reported and two people were detained after a fire a vacant school building Sunday afternoon.
The call came in shortly before 4 p.m. at the Southwestern Junior High School building in Battle Creek.
Fire crews arrived to find smoke on the first floor in the library portion of the building. The fire was put out quickly not long after.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Officials say this is the second reported fire at the building since April.
