Arrests made after 'rolling gun fight' in Kalamazoo

KALAMAZOO — Police say a 15 and 18-year-old were arrested after a shooting and rolling gun fight in Kalamazoo Tuesday evening.

It happened around 6:30 p.m. along Cameron Street in Kalamazoo.

According to the Kalamazoo Public Safety, witnesses described it as a rolling gun fight involving several vehicles and an 18-year-old was shot. The teen was treated and later arrested for carrying a concealed weapon, felony firearm and shooting off a gun from a moving vehicle.

Police also arrested a 15-year-old after locating a vehicle matching the suspect's description. They said the teen ran off prior to the arrest and is expected to be charged with fleeing and eluding, resisting and obstructing an officer, and carrying a concealed firearm.

Officers also found several shell casings along the roadway.
