GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The owner of Capriotti's Sandwich Shop, Trever Hall, gave us some tips for the perfect backyard party.

Those tips include:

"Serving individually wrapped foods is one of the best ways to minimize germ-spread, which is why serving sandwiches (like Capriotti`s new wagyu sandwiches) would be safe a delicious. Other good options are cupcakes, cookies in bags, small bags of chips."

"Designate a person or two to serve food to avoid gatherings around a self-serve table."

"Label coolers or leave them open to avoid everyone touching them while looking for drinks."

"Supply masks and hand sanitizer to all guests."

"Use Single-use utensils - plates, napkins, cutlery, cups - for safe disposal after and throughout the party. Straws are great for drinking with a mask on while mingling."

"If possible, set up round tables with one-less chair so that there`s enough room for all guests."

"When eating, recommend that families sit together so they can safely remove their masks without risk of exposure."

"Play games that allow for social distance, like Baggo or Lawn darts - just make sure whoever is playing is wearing a fresh set of gloves."
