MI — It's the first of two special weekends for the Kent County Sheriff's Department as "Shop with a Sheriff" gets underway.
The hope is to give more than 130 kids from school districts throughout Kent County winter necessities and holiday gifts.
It starts with a parade through the parking lot. After that kids get to go in and shop with a uniformed police officer. Once the shopping is done, Santa will be on hand for pictures. There will also be gift wrapping and snacks.
