KENT COUNTY, Mich. — Kent County Road Commission crews are applying a sand and salt mix to state roads and county primary roads in advanced of forecasted freezing precipitation Friday evening.
Lower traffic volumes and dry weather create good conditions to pretreat, and material will be placed along the center line to stay on the road as long as possible.
The Commission says ice storms making driving difficult whether roads are treated or not, so drivers should stay home if possible.
