GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Board games have seen a rise in popularity thanks to everyone being stuck inside for months on end, and now there is a business centered around them.

FOX 17's Savannah Fish brought us inside West Michigan's first board game lounge: House Rules.

It is located at 404 Ionia Ave. and is both a retail store and a bar.

The owners say it is a place to hang out with your friends and your favorite games.

However, due to COVID-19 restrictions, things are a little different right now.

The store is open, however masks are required at all times.

There are currently no alcohol sales until their license is transferred.

The lounge is closed, so there is no on-site gaming until that is open again, and capacity is limited to 12 people, including staff.

House Rules is open Tuesday through Saturday from 12-6 p.m., so come and check it out!
