Crash knocks out power to nearly 1,500 customers in Kent County

KENT COUNTY, Mich. — Consumers Energy is working to restore power to nearly 1,500 customers after a crash early Thursday.

Kent County dispatchers say it happened around 2 a.m. in the area of 54th Street and Division Avenue.

The crash involved a pole that needs to be replaced by Consumers.

Customers in both Kentwood and Wyoming are experiencing outages.

Power is expected to be restored by 7:45 a.m.
