WALKER, Mich. — Thousands of energy customers lost power in the Walker area Sunday afternoon.
Consumers Energy says the outage was sparked by a pole fire, telling us 8,300 were people impacted.
We're told crews began work to restore power once the situation was deemed safe to do so.
A company spokesperson says most customers had their power restored before 6 p.m.
