BYRON TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Investigators are looking for witnesses to a highway shooting that left two men injured.
State police say this played out around 7 p.m. Wednesday on northbound US-131 between 68th and 84th streets.
Investigators say someone in an unknown vehicle fired at the two men who were in another vehicle. The victims pulled off into a nearby gas station on 68th near the highway.
Medics took the two men to a hospital for treatment. Michigan State Police do not believe the shooting was random. According to MSP, initial investigation suggests that the victims were targeted.
State police want you to call them if you saw a suspicious vehicle in the area at the time. You should call 911 or State Police at 616-866-4411.
