KEENE TOWNSHIP, Mich. — One woman is dead and her passenger suffered minor injuries after a rollover crash Wednesday night.
Deputies with the Ionia County Sheriff Office say it happened around 9:45 p.m. on Sayles Road just west of Whites Bridge Road in Keene Township.
The investigation shows the driver, a 27-year-old woman from the Saranac area, was driving at a high rate of speed, lost control and overturned several times.
Deputies say the woman was thrown from her car and killed. Her passenger, a 26-year-old man from Fenwick, was hospitalized with minor injuries.
Neither of them were wearing a seat belt, according to deputies.
The crash remains under investigation.
