ORANGE TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Two kids were hospitalized after being thrown from a van during a rollover crash on I-96.

It happened around 6:40 p.m. Saturday evening, when a GMC Safari tried to speed around a semi.

The 27-year-old driver lost control of the van and drove off the road, according to Ionia County Sheriff's Deputies.

They drove off the road and rolled over, ejecting the 7-year-old and 3-year-old passengers.

Both kids were taken to Helen DeVos Hospital, but are expected to be ok.

The Grand Rapids native driver was not hurt in the crash, and while alcohol is not believed to have been involved, the accident is still being investigated.
