LAKE ODESSA, Mich. — Many people are waking up without power in West Michigan Wednesday morning.
As of 7 a.m., Kent County has about 5,000 outages and Ionia County is dealing with more than 1,000 outages.
The Lake Odessa area is dealing with several fallen trees including one resident, Dylan Bishop, who says he was woken up to a fallen tree on his truck.
He says he is thankful the tree didn't fall towards the home and cause even more damage.
Consumers Energy says power is expected to be restored this afternoon.
