GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Police have identified the victim in a fatal crash Wednesday involving a Rapid bus.

The head-on crash happened around 8:30 a.m. in the area of Fairfield Avenue and Lake Michigan Drive in Grand Rapids. Kayla Williams, 27, was killed in the crash.

The other driver involved was taken to an area hospital in critical condition. Police haven’t updated that driver’s condition at this point.

Investigators said Wednesday that an eastbound vehicle hit Williams’ westbound vehicle but didn’t specify what caused the collision.
