GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The BOB announced via Facebook today that they will be closed temporarily after an employee tested positive for COVID-19.

The BOB has not set a date to return, but hope to be back in business as soon as it is safely possible.

"The safety of our staff and guests is our top priority, so we will be exercising extreme caution and closing The BOB temporarily," said the BOB in their facebook statement. "A professional deep cleaning of the entire building is currently underway. All BOB employees known to have worked with this employee are being testing for COVID-19 and we are conducting contact tracing."

The BOB believes it is possible that the employee may have been exposed and contracted COVID as early as June 11 or 12 in either Gilly’s Smokehouse or BOB’s Beer Garden.

The BOB advises that, in an effort to ensure the safety of restaurant workers and patrons everyone, it is essential that restaurant-goers everywhere wear a mask and adhere to social distancing guidelines, when choosing to dine-out.

Weddings and special events scheduled at The BOB during the month of July have not been cancelled as of Sunday. If you have questions or concerns, the BOB advises you to follow up directly with your event coordinator.

If you have questions about a recent visit to The BOB, please email lmarvin@gilmorec.com directly for information.
