Boy shot in leg and bullets hit two houses

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Two more shootings overnight in Grand Rapids left a man with a leg wound and two houses with bullet holes.

Grand Rapids Police report that a 12-year-old boy was shot in the leg in a drive-by shooting around 6:29 p.m. Monday near the intersection of Calvin Avenue and Adams Street SE. Police belief a previous altercation led to the shooting. The teen is expected to recover.

At around 11:50 p.m. officers responding to a call of shots heard near Prince Street and Fuller Avenue SE. They found no one with injuries but did find bullet holes in two different houses and 27 shell casings in the street. There are no suspects.
