GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The U.S. Supreme Court will hear an oral argument in the case of a Grand Rapids man who says he was beaten by undercover cops six years ago.

James King filed a lawsuit against police in 2016, saying he was wrongfully identified and beaten unconscious by police in 2014.

He’s been in a legal battle ever since.

King, who was 21 at the time of the incident, hopes the Supreme Court changes the law that his lawyer believes is a loophole for holding joint task force officers accountable.

Watch the oral argument around 11 a.m. Monday here.
