GRAND RAPIDS — Grand Rapids police say they are investigating a home invasion and shots fired incident. Both happened on the city's NW side overnight.

Officers were called to the area of Sibley and Pine NW on the report of shots fired. Police say they discovered the upstairs of an apartment building had been struck several times, while the downstairs apartment was hit twice. No one was inside at the time of the incident.

Then around 2:15 a.m. officers were dispatched to a home on Richmond NW on a report of a home invasion. Police say two suspects took off from the home and fired a gunshot as they ran off. A K-9 was brought in to help aid in the search, but no suspects were located. Police say the victims were not hurt.
