GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — A person was hit in the foot during a drive-by shooting Saturday morning.
At 9:42 a.m. Saturday, the Grand Rapids Police Department responded to a report of five to 10 shots fired in the 3900 block of Camelot Drive SE. While officers were at the scene investigating, a person arrived at Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital in downtown Grand Rapids suffering from a gunshot wound to the foot.
Investigating officers found shell casings at the Camelot Drive scene.
The investigation showed that the person was outside on Camelot Drive when when a vehicle drove by and gunshots were fired from it. Detectives are currently processing evidence at the scene.
Police said no suspect or vehicle information was available, as well as the victim's sex and age.
The incident remains under investigation by GRPD.
