New Grand Rapids riot charge issued

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — A new charge has been issued in connection to rioting in downtown Grand Rapids, Kent County Prosecuting Attorney Christopher Becker said Monday.

Kyree Roberton, 25, is being charged with one count of riot, one count of B&E of a building with intent and one count of lying to police.

The victim listed in this case is Family Pediatric Eye Care.

No arraignment information was immediately available.

22 people now face charges in connection to the riots at the end of May.
