GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Mission BBQ in Grand Rapids was one of many businesses saying 'thanks' to our nation's veterans.

"We're celebrating Veteran’s Day at all 97 locations across the country. Just looking for a way to give back to those who serve, honoring them with free sandwiches. We help raise money for different military organizations year-round,” Tom Gorman told FOX 17. “This is a time for us to really bring everyone together, especially with everything going on in 2020, to make sure they're honored."

Joined by local first responders, and WWII veterans, the restaurant held a special ceremony Veteran’s Day morning. Mission BBQ brought out a few toys including a marching band, and gave out free sandwiches to all active, and retired service members.

Mission BBQ is right off the East Beltline between Knapp Street and 3 Mile.
