GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Mercy Health is now offering two drive-thru covid-19 testing centers, one in Grand Rapids and one in Muskegon.
Mercy Health says this gives them the ability to test hundreds of patients who have an order to be tested from their health care provider and isn't sick enough to need to go to the hospital.
They say drive-thru testing reduces the number over people potentially exposed to the virus, making it the safer option.
According to Mercy Health, a nurse will give patients information on how to quarantine in their own homes before they leave the testing center, and they will get results back within 24 hours.
If you think you may need to be tested, Mercy Health asks you to speak with your primary care provider or visit their website for a virtual screening.
