GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — A man who was taken to Spectrum Butterworth Hospital in downtown Grand Rapids in a private vehicle died a short time later.
Grand Rapids Police arrested a passenger in the car who is accused of being the shooter.
The victim, a 21-year-old man, was apparently shot in the chest in the area of College Avenue and Lyon Street NE around 11:30 p.m.
The suspect is also male, but GRPD gave no further identification.
