GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — A man has been charged in connection with the riot in downtown Grand Rapids last month.

Brian Jennings, 30, is being charged with one count of riot, up to 10 years, breaking and entering a building with intent, up to 10 years, and malicious destruction of a building, over $1,000, up to five years, according to Christopher Becker, prosecuting attorney for Kent County on Friday.

The charges are related to damage at 82 Ionia NW.

He was also charged last week for malicious destruction of a building, over $1,000, at Curtis Cleaners.

Becker stressed that Jennings is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
