Man accused of using counterfeit money at GR store

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Grand Rapids police are searching for a man accused of using counterfeit money at a grocery store.

Police say the suspect used the fake currency at a Family Fare on Jan. 6.

He is described as a man in his 30s with a mustache and may have a goatee. He was wearing a light-colored puffy vest with a long-sleeve gray shirt underneath, light blue jeans and a dark stocking cap.

The suspect vehicle is believed to be a newer white four-door Ford, possibly a Focus. There is a white decal across the top of the back window.
