GRAND RAPIDS TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Troopers from the Michigan State Police Rockford Post are investigating a fatal crash from Sunday evening in Grand Rapids Township.
It happened about 6:30 p.m. at the intersection of E. Fulton Street and Bridgestone Drive, a news release said Monday.
A 64-year-old Grand Rapids man driving a Honda Accord tried to turn left onto E. Fulton Street from Bridgestone Drive.
He did not yield to a Chevrolet Malibu traveling west on E. Fulton Street, which was being driven by a 16-year-old from East Grand Rapids, MSP said.
The driver of the Honda Accord was pronounced dead at the scene.
There were no passengers in either vehicle.
Alcohol, drugs, speed and cell phone use do not appear to be factors in the crash.
The crash is still under investigation.
