GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Grand Rapids police spent part of Wednesday searching for a suspect wanted in connection with shots being fired at a fugitive task force agent.
Investigators received a tip in the morning regarding Tuesday’s shots fired incident saying a suspect connected to it was in the area of Division Avenue and M-6.
Police searched the surrounding areas for Maxamillion Long and talked with some people, but didn’t develop any new information on his whereabouts.
Investigators have been searching for Long since Tuesday afternoon, when police say he shot several rounds at the unmarked vehicle of a fugitive task force agent who was watching for Long outside a home on Sherman Street near Dolbee Avenue.
Police found the vehicle involved in the case earlier Wednesday, but have yet to find Long.
He is considered to be armed and dangerous. Anyone with information on where he is should call the Grand Rapids Police Department at 616-456-3400 or Silent Observer at 616-774-2345.
