GRAND RAPIDS — Police say a 6-month-old child is not believed to be in immediate danger after an alleged domestic assault early Thursday morning.
It happened after 3:30 a.m. in the area Brenner Street in Grand Rapids.
A woman, the child's mother, reportedly had non-life threatening injuries due to the assault involving a knife.
GRPD says the child was taken by the suspect after the assault took place.
Police say the suspect is the child's biological father. Police did not identify him.
