GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — A Grand Rapids family raided neighbors’ yards for enough snow to build a 12-foot snowman in front of their home last week.
The Lesatz family built the giant Frosty lookalike using items around their house.
The snowman has softballs for eyes, jars of peanut butter for buttons and a garbage bag in its head for the mouth and color for eyes.
Jeff Lesatz borrowed snow from three other yards and spent about five hours building it outside his home on Lamont Avenue near Leonard Street on the city’s west side.
The creation is the second giant snowman to stand in West Michigan, as a Coopersville family spent a day creating one that was 14 feet tall outside their home.
