GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The Grand Rapids Fire Department is investigating an "incident" firefighters responded to in downtown Grand Rapids this morning.

The GRFD sent a pair of trucks to address several billows of what appeared to be steam or smoke coming from Campau Avenue NW near the JW Marriott Grand Rapids and Amway Grand Plaza, between Pearl Street and Monroe Avenue, according to a Facebook post today by the Grand Rapids Professional Firefighters Local 366.

The Grand Rapids Police Department said this morning they have the area blocked off.

No one is in danger, and the public shouldn't be concerned, the GRPD said.

Police could not give any additional information at this time.
