GRAND RAPIDS, Mich — Police say a 26-year-old Grand Rapids man is dead and two others were seriously hurt after an overnight crash in Grand Rapids.
It happened just before 3:30 a.m. near the intersection of Dickinson and Horton on the city's southeast side.
According to Grand Rapids police, the car may have been speeding and lost control just before the crash. GRPD closed off a portion of the area during the investigation.
The car reportedly even caught fire at one point. A passerby was able to get all three people out of the vehicle before first responders arrived on scene, authorities added.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene and two others were taken to the hospital.
No names have been released at this time.
