GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — State mandates shutting down dine-in services to prevent the spread of coronavirus have forced HopCat to close its doors.

In a Facebook post, the restaurant said the mandated restaurant closures have eliminated its ability to make the money need to employ the staff and serve guests.

The closure is expected to be temporary. Once it is able to reopen, the staff will be rehired.

“Thank you for your years of patronage,” the post says. If you pour one out for HopCat today, you better be ready to have a celebratory pint with us once we open back up!!”
