Part of a two-story building in Grand Rapids collapsed on to the sidewalk below today.
The under-construction building is in the city's Baxter neighborhood on Franklin St. SE, at Neland Ave. SE, according to the Grand Rapids Fire Department today.
Pieces of the front second-floor wall were piled up on the sidewalk and into the part of the street this afternoon.
No one was working at the building, and no one was injured.
The fire department said it is waiting on the city engineer to look at the building, because there’s concern about another wall.
