GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The “Be a Santa to a Senior” program is back and organizers say it’s more important than ever because of the isolation many seniors are feeling because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Home Instead, coordinator of the program, is teaming up with Amazon Business to create a contactless gift-giving experience for volunteers and recipients.
Holiday shoppers can also find the traditional trees with gift-request suggestions at five locations across the Grand Rapids region.
Extra precautions will be taken to safely collect and deliver the gifts to seniors in need.
More details, including tree locations and virtual gift requests, can be found on the program’s website.
