GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — One person is dead after being shot near 700 Watkins Street SE on Oct. 16.
The incident occurred around 9:15 p.m.
Grand Rapids Police say the victim is 23-year-old Deon Lamont Floyd of Grand Rapids.
He was rushed into surgery at St. Mary's Hospital, where he then succumbed to his wounds. Floyd's death has been ruled a homicide by the Kent County Medical Examiner.
