1 injured in shooting on GR's Southeast side

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — A shooting on Grand Rapids' southeast side Monday afternoon left one man injured.

The shooting occurred around 3:30 p.m. in the 2900 block of Marshall Ave SE.

After an initial report of multiple shots fired, officers arrived to find multiple shell casings in the area listed above.

At least one vehicle and one apartment were struck by the gunfire.

A 21-year-old man arrived at St. Mary's Hospital shortly about 10 minutes after the shooting with a gunshot wound.

His injuries sustained from the shooting are believed to be non-life threatening.

Grand Rapids Police officers believe he was shot while exiting his apartment.

No suspects or vehicles involved in the incident are known at this time.
