BOSTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. — State troopers responded to a fatal crash involving one vehicle on I-96 Friday morning.
Michigan State Troopers say a female Grand Rapids resident, 47, drove west on I-96 at high speeds when she attempted to pass a vehicle in the other lane. They say that was when she lost control, driving off the road and hitting a number of trees.
We’re told she was pronounced dead following the crash.
Police say speed and alcohol likely played a role in the crash, adding that the driver was not wearing a seat belt.
