GRAND HAVEN, Mich. — A child was hit by a car Tuesday afternoon in Grand Haven, according to the Department of Public Safety.
Officers responded to the intersection of Beacon and Taylor Avenue around 4:22 p.m. where they say a car moving northbound on Beacon ran a red light and hit the 11-year-old who was crossing the road.
The child was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The driver, a 28-year-old Hudsonville man, was cited for the incident.
