Champion Force Athletics, a youth organization that offers low-cost cheerleading and martial arts programs, knows it's hard for kids to stay busy and active during the stay-at-home order.

For the time being, kids can check out the free martial arts classes live Tuesday evenings on Champion Force Athletics' Facebook page. Thursday evenings, the organization is offering live cheerleading classes. All classes are live between 6-8pm, and then available on the group's YouTube page.

The classes are open for kids ages four to 18. Even parents can join their children for these online classes.

"All you need for our martial arts classes and our cheerleading classes is just an open space to be active and move around," explained Lisa Conner, Midwest program director. "The kids are going to want to be in athletic clothes, so gym clothes attire is perfect. Kids and parents can expect to be doing a lot of moving around in our martial arts classes. Kids will learn self-defense techniques, as far as kicks and punches, and we of course tell them that they're never allowed to play around with these techniques, only for safety emergencies."
