OTTAWA COUNTY, — Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office report children ages 5 and 10 were crossing 12th avenue when the 5-year-old girl was struck by a car today.
The children crossed through stopped traffic at which time the girl walked into the traffic lane and was struck.
She was transported by Life EMS to DeVos Children's Hospital and is currently in critical condition.
The incident is still under investigation and the area will be closed to traffic and Sheriff's Office asks that motorists seek an alternate route.
