MILTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A crash in Cass County that left one woman on Bertrand Street and Ironwood Road injured is currently under investigation.

Around 2 p.m., a vehicle driven by Donald Mansell, 55-year-old of Elkhart, was traveling eastbound on Bertrand St and disregarded a stop sign at the intersection of Bertrand St and Ironwood Rd.

The second driver, Kimberly Jann, a 57-year-old of Niles, was proceeding through the intersection after stopping at Ironwood Rd and Bertrand St.

Mansell did not see the stop sign and struck Jann on the side of her vehicle.

Jann was transported by EMS to South Bend Memorial Hospital for her injuries sustained in the crash.

Seat belts were worn. Alcohol and drugs do not appear to be a factor. Airbags did deploy when the crash occurred.

Deputies were assisted by Berrien County Sheriff’s Office, Niles Township Fire, and SMCAS EMS.
