PORTER TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A 46-year-old man was injured after he crashed into a vehicle headed west on US-12 in Cass County.
This happened around 7 p.m. on Saturday in front of Horizon Bank near the intersection of US-12 and Union Road in Porter Township.
According to authorities, the 46-year-old claimed the sun got into his eyes while driving, causing him not see the oncoming vehicle with four people inside.
The man attempted to turn into the parking lot of Horizon Bank, striking the westbound vehicle in the process.
The 46-year-old man was the only person hospitalized while the four other occupants were released on scene.
Seat belts were used by everyone involved; drugs and alcohol do not appear to factor into the crash.
