WYOMING, Mich. — Four thousand people in Grand Rapids and Wyoming were without power Friday evening, according to Consumers Energy's website.

One witness tells us traffic lights were also knocked out.

"There is a situation with a high-voltage line," says Doug DeYoung with Consumers Energy, who says crews are in the process of making repairs.

A cause for the outage is not yet known, but DeYoung says the issue appeared to be in proximity to the substation.

Consumers Energy's outage map was clear of outages in the area by 10:45 p.m. Friday night.
