PENN TWP., Mich. — One 20-year-old from New York was injured in a crash in Cass County earlier this morning.

Just before 7 a.m., the Cass County Sheriff's Office office called to investigate a personal injury crash, at the intersection on Penn Rd and Dutch Settlement, in Penn Township, Cass County.

20-year-old New York resident, Yocov Roness, was traveling south bound when he failed to stop at the signed intersection.

His vehicle collided with an oncoming vehicle, driven by 30-year-old, Marcellus resident, Cassandra Jordan.

Jordan and her 2 year-old child, Weston Jordan, were treated and released at the scene.

Roness was transported to Borgess Hospital in Dowagiac for treatment.

At this time, it appears that all parties were using their seatbelts and intoxicating substances were not a factor.

This case remains under investigation.
