REDFORD CHARTER TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Sheila Duren is being recognized for her Excellence in Education.
Damita DuBose, Sheila’s nominator, says, “I appreciate everything that she does for students and for her school.”
“Teaching division through Zoom...it's very difficult,” says Duren, “but the minute you see that light bulb come on, it's just like all of that was worth it!”
Sheila has received a $1,500 check from the Michigan Lottery, and her class at Beech Elementary School will receive a $500 grant.
