ALLENDALE TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Deputies were dispatched to the intersection of 48th Ave. and Pierce St. around 2:50 a.m. Saturday morning for a two car crash.
The westbound vehicle drove through a blinking red light and hit the southbound vehicle as they went through the intersection, according to the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office.
Both vehicles were forced off the road, with the southbound vehicle crashing into an apartment building.
Both drivers were taken to Spectrum downtown with non-life-threatening injuries. The passenger of the westbound vehicle was also injured but refused medical attention.
Alcohol appears to be a factor, although the incident is still under investigation.
