A baby girl passed away at a local hospital Thursday after her parents found her unconscious in their Detroit home.
According to DPD, when the parents woke up at 7 a.m. Thursday to check on the infant, she was not breathing.
The parents then rushed the baby to the hospital for treatment, but the baby girl was later pronounced dead.
Detroit police were at the home in area of Grandville conducting an investigation around 9 a.m.
The cause of death is still unknown. As of now, the baby's death does not appear suspicious, according to police.
The baby was born on Sept. 15.
